Donald William Moss

December 11, 1964 — June 4, 2026

Donald William "Donnie" Moss, age 61, passed away on June 4, 2026, at AdventHealth Orange City in Orange City, Florida.

Donnie was born on December 11, 1964, at Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma to Donald and Roselyn Moss. During his childhood, his family lived in Oklahoma and Georgia before settling in Antioch, Tennessee, where he spent much of his youth. As the son of an Air Force serviceman, Donnie learned the values of family, hard work, and loyalty that would guide him throughout his life.

Donnie loved deeply and lived life with enthusiasm and purpose. He was a devoted father to his son, Matt, and later met the love of his life, Mary Anderson Moss, who was raising her son, Joe. Together they built a loving family and welcomed their daughter, Sydney, in 1999, affectionately known as "Daddy's baby girl."

Family was at the center of Donnie's world. He dedicated countless hours to coaching football and baseball and serving as a Boy Scout leader while his children were growing up. As the years passed, family adventures filled weekends with fishing trips, autocross events, kart racing, and off-road excursions, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.

An avid outdoorsman, Donnie found great joy on the water, especially fishing the Intracoastal waterways. He served as President of the ISAA Fishing Club, where he shared his passion for fishing and built lasting friendships. As his career in the off-road industry flourished, he became a leader within the Volusia Jeep Club and formed deep bonds throughout the Jeep and off-road community. His enthusiasm, knowledge, and willingness to help others earned him the respect and admiration of countless friends.

Donnie was known for giving his whole heart to everything he did. Whether helping a friend in need, mentoring others, or spending time with family, he approached life "all in." He treasured the relationships he built throughout his life and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, loyalty, and adventure.

Donnie is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Anderson Moss; his children, Matt Moss (Ashley), Joe Covington (Adrian), and Sydney Moss (Ashley); one grandchild, Cameron Covington; and his siblings, Ray Moss, Rebecca Woodward, Tony Moss, and Sam Moss and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Roselyn Moss, whom he loved dearly.

Though his absence leaves an immeasurable void, those who knew and loved Donnie will remember a man whose greatest joy was sharing life's adventures with family and friends. His laughter, wisdom, generosity, and unwavering love will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 21, 2026, at Riverside Park in Oak Hill, Florida. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories, stories, and honor the remarkable life of Donald William Moss.
