Edmund Charles Savage

Edmund Charles Savage age 66, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, at AdventHealth in Deland, Florida. Born on December 18, 1959, in Portsmouth, Ohio. 

The son of Walden "Doc" Savage and Maggie Farley, Predeceased by his beloved parents and siblings Homer Estep, Jim Cole, Geri Liles, and Sandy Bloomfield, he leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. Edmund is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Linda Harper Savage, his children, daughter Leila and son Cody, as well as his treasured grandchildren, Draven, Kash, and Katie Savage. He is also survived by his numerous siblings: June Ginn, James Savage, Donna Nolen, Dianna Corns, Jenny Corns, Kecia Craig, Lisa Fetters, Pam Jamison, Anita Pearl, Eugene Savage, Tony Savage, Wanda, and Steven Savage, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends who enriched his life. 

Edmund was raised in Vanceburg, Kentucky, where he graduated high school, and he dutifully served his country as an Army veteran from 1981 to 1984, spending a significant portion of his service in Germany. A craftsman at heart, Edmund spent his professional years as a carpenter and roofer, where his skilled hands and keen eye for detail left a lasting mark on every project he touched. 

Beyond his work, Edmund had a profound love for life’s simple pleasures. He found joy in fishing, 4-wheeling, and camping, often gathering friends and family for cookouts where his laughter and welcoming spirit would fill the air. A lover of music, Edmund enjoyed religious, bluegrass, and country tunes, which provided the soundtrack to many heartfelt memories. 

Edmund's greatest joy came from connecting with others. He never met a stranger and greeted every passerby with a friendly wave. His warmth was magnetic, drawing people to him and leaving them enriched by his kindness. 

His family shares this poignant message: "Losing my husband has broken my heart in ways words can’t describe, a pain that lingers in every moment, soothed only by my memories of his love." 

A celebration of Edmund's life will be held at a later date in both Kentucky and Florida, where his spirit and the love he shared will be honored by those who knew him best. Edmund Charles Savage will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched. 

His legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to family and friends will live on in our hearts forever.
