Dan Whalen Swanson, 78, of Orlando passed on Saturday, October 30, 2021. He was born in Marietta, Georgia. He graduated from Edgewater High School in 1961 and he attended Rollins College. He began working as a draftsman early in his career, but he truly found his calling as a technical recruiter for various engineering companies. He loved talking to people to hear their story, from the barbecue stand owner to placing a candidate in the right job. Dan loved cars, Nascar, aviation, flying small engine planes, baseball, the New York Yankees, and the great outdoors.
He is survived by his children, Yvette Martin, Lynn Endriss, and Chad Swanson, his grandchildren, James Endriss, Ryan Martin, Sarah Endriss, Kyle Swanson, Krysta Swanson, and Brittany Swanson, his partner Lydia Delaney and his brothers Dave Swanson, Mark Swanson and Larry Swanson. Dan was preceded in death by his son, Shawn Swanson and his parents George Swanson and Madelyn Roy.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on November 13, 2021, from 4-6 pm at Church of the Nazarene, 1420 Courtland, Blvd., Deltona, FL. (Livestream of service at deltonanaz.com)
