Karen Marie Parker

Karen Marie Parker

12/09/2021

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Karen Marie Parker on December 9, 2021. At 69 years old, she left us after an eighteen month-long battle with cancer.

Karen was a self-proclaimed “Queen of the Fucking Universe” and enjoyed her life golfing, riding motorcycles, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She was a long-time and active member of the Women of the Moose; with many hours spent at the Garden City (Michigan), Inverness (Florida) and Four Townes (Debary, Florida) lodges.

She was preceded in death by her husband (Eddie Parker), her daughter (Amy Duckett), her parents (Dave and Margaret Brunet) and her beloved Shih Tzu (Bentley).

Karen was born June 17, 1952 in Oak Harbor, Washington, grew up in Garden City, Michigan, and retired to Hernando, Florida after the death of her husband.

She was the beloved mother of Jodi Oliver (Mike), Amy Duckett and Ryan Parker. She was the proud grandmother of Andrea Bilak, Robert Bilak, Olivia Bilak, Rae Duckett, and Eddie Parker. She was the loving sister of Larry Brunet (Peggy), Cheryl Brunet, and Tracy Billens. Her many nieces and nephews (who she always told she was the “Aunt from Hades” because they were too young to say Hell), described her as fun-loving, rule-breaking, bold and unique.

Karen was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all whose lives she touched. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A celebration of Karen’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
